π’District Buildings
Many buildings in the district are functional. They might produce or deliver resources. They might convert resources from one type to another, or consume resources. They might be infrastructure which produces power, or improves transport options. They might be retail which offers more exotic goods, or prestige buildings which suck in custom and money from miles around.
If a building is functional, it will have at least one interaction point. Drive over that interaction point to interact with it. This is how youβll do jobs and interact with the economy.
District Development
The district is run democratically by your community. As a resident of the district, the player has the power to vote on how the land in the district is utilized. The options are:
BUILD - Build a new building. There are many options available.
UPGRADE - Upgrade an existing building. Most buildings have 10 levels. The utility and efficiency of buildings increases as they are upgraded.
DEMOLISH - Building zones are limited and some buildings may eventually outlive their usefulness. In this case, buildings can be demolished to make way for new development.
Each building has a prestige value, and their combined value is the district prestige. Every time the community completes an upgrade of an existing building or construction of a new building, the district prestige rises. District prestige is a public index of the level of development and infrastructure of the district.
Building Types
There are various types of building in a district. Some are permanent and necessary for the economy. Some are options which the community can choose as part of district development.
FACTORIES - Buildings where NFTs can be minted. They require in-game resources as inputs for manufacturing. They can be upgraded to produce higher rarity NFTs.
JOB HUBS - Headquarters for the various jobs in the district. They can be upgraded to unlock job-specific vehicles and clothes.
BUSINESSES - Buy, sell and convert resources and goods. They can be upgraded to be faster and more efficient, and provide different resources.
HOMES - The places where players live. Everything from dingy motels to the mansion on the hill.
